Adom has a bright and shining future ahead of him. As a rising embalmer on the Upper East Side of Luxura, he has devoted his life to guiding the souls of the dearly departed to the afterlife for the living with his skills and reverence for the gods. But one sacred mistake inadvertently awakens a young corpse bride—who believes he is hers. Now, Adom has seventy days to return her to the afterlife, or he’ll lose everything he loves when the world finds out what he's done.

As one of the few descendants of the Waemunding Tribe, Wiglaf goes on a journey to find the Scandinavian Prince in hopes of learning their clan's warrior traditions. Fueled by childhood stories of legendary heroes, Wiglaf is eager and optimistic about the glory and glamour that awaits him as he tries to become a warrior, but being a hero isn't all it's cracked up to be as he follows his talented cousin Beowulf around.
